Today was our stake conference. It was wonderful. We could feel the spirit very strongly. President Kimball was released and Steven Teerlink was put in his place as Stake President. Our bishop was also put in as his first counselor, so yes that means we will be getting a new bishop very shortly and maybe new counselors. We will keep you posted. Brother Gonzales and his wife were there still and they spoke too. It was very nice, you can sure tell he is a man of God. Lots of changes and lots of wonderful messages. My heart was very full today. I am so blessed to have the gospel in my life, just as each of you are. You are all wonderful children and grand children and we feel so lucky to have you in our lives. Just as Brother Gonzales said,” If we find that we have sinned one thousand times and have repented, we should never give up. because if we are trying, then one day that day will finally come and you will truly be ready to move on and not do it again, because the Lord always wants us to strive for that day. Hopefully it won’t take that many times, but he is there waiting for us to finally get it(what we are here for and what is most important.) Don’t give up on yourselves, and please strive everyday to do your best, and be example to your children. They are watching and they will do what you do. If they have that reassurance that home is a heaven on earth, then they too will want to do their best ,because the will want to be together with you forever. Well, I don’t know how many of you are reading this family blog, but here goes anyway. Tonight Dad and I went to the leadership adult meeting that we have before every Stake Conference. Brother Gonzales from Uruguay spoke to us. The messages from the night were mostly on missionary work, mothers and transferring values to our children and grandchildren. We have to have hope in the gospel and that it will change our lives. We have to be listening and hearing and then doing. Do we take the opportunity to seize those times to teach , prepare and serve, whether it be to our children or grand children or even neighbors and even our siblings. Our communication with our Heavenly Father is key to our understanding of what we are to do and where we are to go. In order to truly communicate, we need to pray, ponder, pray and ponder some more. It is not communicating, when we just say words, we really need to think of HIM and ponder , then pray. It is helpful when we listen after we pray. The world is harsh and we all need all the direction and love and protection we can get, especially from each other . Brother Gonzales also said that service is also a way we can find real happiness and ourselves. Our Heavenly Father said we should lose ourselves in service and we will find happiness. You serve everyday, whether you know it or not. Being a parent, never ends and there is a reason for it. One of these days each of you will be in our position, meaning older and all of your children will be married and gone out of your home, then you start more and more, to realize the most important things of life and everyday choices that we make and know the ones that will bring the most happiness and joy to your spirit. We pray that each of you can know of the truthfulness of the gospel and that you will gain or strengthen your testimony by doing those things that the Lord has asked us all to do. Sometimes with the way the world is today, it is told to us my the media and some music …….ect, that we are having too much expected of us. The Lord knows what we are capable of and so why shouldn’t we trust in ourselves to do all we can do to live a more Christ like life, by doing only righteous things. Sure we make mistakes and slip once in a while, but that doesn’t mean give up, it means to keep trying. Repent and try again, right? We should surround ourselves with good things, tell the truth, listen to good music, teach our children true and good things, be examples to them and to others, serve when we can, go that extra mile, and when it seems we can’t go anymore, them go some more. Each of us will be blessed. I know that on that day when it is time, I want to be ready, not only emotionally, but spiritually ready. I want to be able to face my maker and hopefully He will say,” Well done my good and faithful servant.” I want us all to be together forever. Let’s strive together to live a Christ- like life, day by day. We love you all so much. I felt the spirit so much tonight and I believe that there were these messages for me to relay to all of you for a reason, whether it is for reinforcement or to help us realize what to start on next. As you all know, Dad and I are taking all of you to either Disneyland or now Disney World, in Florida. Dad was checking it all out on the computer and called our vacation people and we may do that instead. If we do, it will be in condo instead of a hotel. They are all nice and on resorts. We will keep you all informed as we know more and decide what for sure we are doing. OK? Yes, we will still pay the flights , condos and tickets for Disney World(3 day passes). It will be up to you guys to pay for your meals and shuttle. Sounds good? We are still in the process of finding out what will be best . If we go to Florida, we would have the condos for one week, instead of five nights and six days. so it will definitely be a real vacation. Talk to you as it comes.

Pa goes to practice almost every night. His games have started. We are going to try to go to some of his games too. Call Brooke or Pa for his game schedule. Go Pa!!!!

Diana is back playing soccer now and she not only plays indoor, but she starts her out door games this Saturday. She still kicks butt. You should try to make a couple of her games too. It is really fun!! Love mom

For any of you who would like to know. Riley is playing soccer. His next few games are: the 19th at 11;00 am.
The next is then the 26th at 9:00 am then the next will be on the 30th at 6:00 pm, then May 3rd at noon. then on the 14th at 5:00 pm and last but not least is on the 17th at 10:00am. Just for your info. let them know if you are coming to see any of them. OK. i think Dad and I are going to try to make it up there at least once, maybe twice. GO RILEY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hey- We haven’t heard from anyone on this sight except Wendy, if you are going for sure to the reunion. are you all going to drive? We are. Do we all want to plan on leaving at the same time basically? Please kind of let us know what you are planning on. I think we are leaving Thursday late morning, or so. Maybe staying some where that night and finish driving the next day so we don’t get there too soon, because our rooms are only for starting friday night. But it doesn’t matter, if you guys want to leave at a different time. just let us know so we know about when everyone is going to arrive. oK? Love mom
